1st of August...
So... after a tiring nearly-six months of 5.20 am starts, and full time work waitressing, I've finally handed in my notice and it feels goooood!
I've now got a total of 2 and a half weeks, 12 days and 96 hours of work before I leave Leuven Belgium Beer Cafe forever and embark on a much more exciting adventure. I'm very soon heading up to Hobbiton (otherwise known as Matamata) to start a 6 month music and worship DTS (Discipleship Training School) with YWAM, which is mainly thrillingly exciting but also a tad scary.
On this course I'll be spending 3 months in Matamata learning more about God, chillin' and making some music with some fellow muso's, and serving the local Hobbiton community... The next 3 months will be serving somewhere (yet to be decided) overseas. Previous years have gone to Fiji, China, The Philippines, and other places which I can't remember off the top of my head but I'm sure were exciting none the less!
Anyway... This has all snuck up on me rather quickly and I now have just over 4 weeks to organise my life and do things like pack and get vaccinations (aaaAAaarrg!) before I leave my Wellington home-dogs forever! (well... actually just 6 months, but it still...)
Soo... I'm going to try and update this blog thingy rather regularly to fulfill the promises that I've made to various people to keep them informed about my adventures, and also to make sure that any stalkers that I have are fully satisfied! (I'm joking about that last part, in case you didn't pick that up...)
This babbling has gone on too long so I shall sign off here...
